Delivering With Dignity is partnering with 10 Rotary clubs in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas to deliver nearly 1,300 fully prepared meals to needy, homebound residents on Tuesday, Rotary Food Heroes Day. The mobilization effort is funded by an $8,000 grant from Rotary International, leading to the two organizations collaborating to identify nonprofit partners that are addressing critical food needs created by the pandemic. Sixty-four Rotary volunteers will pick up meals at four local restaurants and deliver them directly to local residents who are unable to meet their food needs without leaving their homes. Since Delivering With Dignity’s inception on March 23, more than 3,000 volunteers have delivered over 158,000 meals across Southern Nevada.
