Quick Bites: Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Osteria Fiorella and more Vegas food news

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches has opened its fourth Las Vegas location at the Fabulous Freddy’s station at Fort Apache Commons, at the corner of Fort Apache and Charleston. The sandwich shop is open daily from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and is planning a grand opening celebration on July 10, when the first 25 customers will receive a free sandwich and be entered in a raffle to win free sandwiches for a year. Founder Ike Shehadeh will be there and sandwiches will be available all day for $6.

LA-born late-night pop-up-turned-restaurant Dave’s Hot Chicken has opened its first location in Las Vegas on Sahara Avenue just east of Fort Apache. The drive-thru window and dining room are open daily from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. Dave’s specializes in spicy chicken tenders and sliders (available at seven different spice levels) along with side dishes like kale slaw, mac and cheese and French fries.

Chef Marc Vetri will celebrate the first anniversary of Osteria Fiorella at Red Rock Resort with a special Italian collaboration dinner featuring chef de cuisine Joel Myers and chef Gina Marinelli of La Strega, another popular Summerlin Italian eatery. The event is set for 5:30 p.m. on July 12 and will include a four-course dinner and cocktails. Tickets cost $140 and available at Eventbrite.

The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace reopened in May and has now extended its hours. The buffet is open daily from 4 until 10 p.m.

Sahara Las Vegas will add a new café, Zeffer’s, to its restaurant lineup later this month. Resort executive chef Lyle Kaku has created a new menu of breakfast and lunch favorites including chicken and waffles, Frosted Flakes French toast, a Dungeness crab omelet, prosciutto tartine and a burger with jalapeño-bacon jam. Zeffer’s will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

The Fourth of July has come and gone but PT’s Taverns locations are celebrating America all month long with red, white and blue beer offerings, a White Claw promotion and other food and drink specials. Beer specials throughout the month of July include $4 bottles of Budweiser, Michelob Ultra and Bud Light. White Claw is available in $5 cans or buckets of five cans for $20. And month-long food offerings available during baseball games include Nathan’s hot dogs for $3, veggie spring rolls for $4, mac and cheese bites for $5 and boneless wings with fries for $6.
