Quick Bites: Bobby’s Burgers, PKWY Tavern, Caviar Bar and more Vegas food news

The sixth location of PKWY Tavern has opened at 4930 W. Flamingo Road in the former Ricardo’s restaurant spot at Decatur Boulevard. The remodeled space contains an expanded bar with 50 beer taps plus 200 canned and bottled beer options, two spacious dining rooms, 60 TV screens and seating options for small and large parties. It’s open 24 hours daily.

Plant Power Fast Food has opened its first location outside of California at 7090 W. Craig Road #120, in the Lone Mountain area. The restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. serving meat-free burgers, sandwiches, salads, fries, shakes, desserts and more.

The Biletnikoff Foundation will host its 21st annual Celebrity Crab Fest at the Champagne Ballroom at Paris Las Vegas on October 22 from 6 to 11 p.m. The event will raise funds to help at-risk teens and 600 guests are expected to join NFL legends such as Fred Biletnikoff, James Lofton, Lincoln Kennedy, Daryle Lamonica, Tom Flores, Andre Reed and others, including current Las Vegas Raiders. Tickets start at $200 and are available at biletnikoff.org.

Summerlin favorite La Strega and chef Gina Marinelli will be serving a one-night-only Halloween dinner menu, “Where the Witches Rome,” on October 30 from 5 until 10 p.m. The menu includes homemade Stracciatella bruschetta, octopus and bone marrow cavatelli, braised short ribs with sunchokes and thyme gremolata and Nutella budino with marshmallow fluff and candied walnuts. The menu is $125 and chic costumes are encouraged.

Caviar Bar, a new restaurant concept from Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt, is set to open at Resorts World in November. The menu will focus on fresh seafood, world-class caviar, Wagyu beef and rich desserts as well as wine, Champagne and Russian vodka. Hergatt’s personal brand Caspy Caviar will also be showcased and caviar selections such as Baerii, Kaluga and Golden Ossetra will be available for wholesale. The intimate restaurant will seat 105 with Russian design influences.

Bobby’s Burgers by celebrity chef Bobby Flay opened its first food court location in Las Vegas earlier this year at Caesars Palace and now comes word that Flay’s casual burger joint will expand with two more Strip spots in the coming months. Bobby’s Burgers at the Fulton Street Food Hall at Harrah’s Las Vegas is slated to open in December and a third eatery at Paris Las Vegas in the Le Boulevard area, adjacent to the upcoming Nobu restaurant, is scheduled to open in March.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Harmon Corner has introduced a new brunch menu available Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. New dishes include the Pink Cloud pancake stack with pink vanilla bean pancakes topped with strawberry cotton candy, bacon fondue with waffle and cheesecake bites, Banana Nutella Lovers pancakes and the mimosa popsicle goblet drink made with Champagne, fresh orange juice and orange slices.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is offering a three-course “Filets of Fall” menu featuring a choice of topped filets starting at $60. There’s a plant-based option featuring Korean-style bulgogi marinated mushrooms and onions with creamy parmesan risotto. Also available through November 22, Fleming’s is offering an “Uncorked” wine promotion allowing guests to sample up to four featured California wines with the purchase of an entree for $28 or $35, depending on location.
