It’s finally here. EDC Week kicks off Wednesday and features more than 60 DJs and artists at more than 40 different events across the Vegas Valley, icing on the cake that is the comeback of the Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, October 22-24. There are too many club events to mention them all so go to edcweek.com to find your favorite musicians and venues, but here’s a daily agenda to get you going: Diplo performs during a Nightswim event at Encore Beach Club on October 20; the Bassrush Pool Party at Daylight Beach Club on October 21 features Kayzo, Wooli, Sullivan King, Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Shiverz, Fallen and Richter; the Insomniac Records pool party at Encore Beach Club also on October 21 brings sets from John Summit, Noizu, Matroda, LP Giobbi, Born Dirty, Westend and Honeyluv; Dreamstate takes over Elia Beach Club on October 22 starring Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate; Dennis Ferrer joins Brett Rubin and Steve Walker for a late-night party at Terrace Afterhours on October 22; Martin Garrix and Justin Mylo spin at Wet Republic on October 23; Purple Disco Machine plays what looks like the last Moonbeam party of the season at Ayu Dayclub on October 24; Deadmau5 returns with a set at Elia on October 24; and Black Coffee takes over at Wet Republic, also on October 24.

Speaking of Black Coffee, he’ll be back for Halloween and for New Year’s Eve at Hakkasan at MGM Grand. If you’re looking ahead for NYE, you might also consider The Chainsmokers at XS, Lil Jon at Jewel or Steve Aoki at Omnia.

Calvin Harris will return to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time in a long time on November 5 when he makes his debut at Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World. Zouk is rolling out the big guns that weekend with DJ Snake on November 4, Zedd on November 6 and Tiësto on November 7.

Speaking of Tiësto, Las Vegas Weekly caught up with him for an interview for this week’s EDC issue and you can read that right here Thursday. And he just released the five-track Together Again EP on October 15, a collection of anthemic EDM on his own Musical Freedom label. Guest appearances include Lucas & Steve, Ummet Ozcan, Tomhio and Killfake. Tiësto’s previous single, “Don’t Be Shy” with Karol G, has amazed 203 million streams worldwide.

The new Azilo Ultra Pool at Sahara Las Vegas has described itself as a multi-faceted entertainment venue from day one, and not as a dayclub, but don’t be surprised to see some DJ activations in this space in the coming months. Reggae band The Green will perform there this week on Thursday, October 21, with doors at 6 p.m. and tickets at $29.

Due to COVID-related travel restrictions, the Lío Ibiza takeover at Mayfair Supper Club, originally intended to begin tonight, has been delayed and now is now anticipated to open on October 21.
