Yukon Pizza founder Alex White is a local Las Vegas pizza-maker who proudly shares his family heirloom sourdough that is over 120 years old in the form of pizzas, breads and more. Starting out of his apartment during his college days at UNLV, Alex would throw pizza parties in the desert for any and all who would make the journey. Pizza making became a passion and the pursuit of perfect pizza took hold. After several years of private events, weddings, and pop-ups, Yukon Pizza was invited to be part of a new innovative dining concept called the Vegas Test Kitchen. Alex hopes to grow, expand and continue to share the love of sourdough pizza with everyone who comes by!
The pizza we are featuring with Slane Irish Whiskey is called The Stewart. This pie features a tomato sauce base with parmesan and fresh garlic slices, house-made spicy sausage, pepperoni and finished with fresh dollops of garlic whipped ricotta. We cook our sausage in the wood-fired oven and the charred spice pairs excellently with the whiskey, complementing the cinnamon and ginger notes found in a glass of Slane.
