About the drink: Nicco’s favorite childhood tradition during the holidays was making gingerbread houses with his family. The unmistakable scent of gingerbread brings back fond memories of the long nights they spent trying to build the best and most unique houses. This served as his inspiration for the “Old Family Tradition.” The scent of gingerbread and light smokiness, combined with Old Forester that is balanced with tobacco bitters and gingerbread, is the perfect way to stay warm on a cold night.
About the creator: Nicco Reveles is one of the Lead Bartenders at Azilo Ultra Pool at The SAHARA Las Vegas. He has been working at the property since he was 18-years-old as a food runner before becoming a barback at the Foxtail Pool when he turned 21. After a year of watching and learning with an amazing team of bartenders, he was ready to throw himself into the weeds as a bartender.
Seeing the changes that The SAHARA has gone through since its days as SLS, and the amazing renovation of the Azilo Ultra Pool and Ultra Lounge, fuel Nicco’s passion and pride for his workplace and fellow team members. Having worked at a several bars and restaurants in Las Vegas and learning different styles of bartending, he but gets a thrill working behind a busy bar at the pool. He says that nothing beats the feeling of being with his team after a long day at the pool, knowing that they worked together to create a great experience for their guests.
