Three questions with comedian Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari returns to the Palms Dec. 11, upgrading from his last show at the Palms Lounge to the Pearl Concert Theater.

You’re moving up at the Palms—from a run in the Lounge last year to headlining the Pearl this time.

It’s really cool. Hopefully next year I can do stand-up in the middle of Criss Angel’s Believe show and then everything will be complete. We’ll see how it goes.

Any favorite spots or activities you never miss in Vegas?

I’m really into food, and there’s a lot of good food in Vegas. I like that restaurant Le Cirque. Vegas is really fun, because you can do stuff you don’t normally do, like, “I’m in Vegas; I’m going to go shoot guns!” You can go to a water park, then go shoot a bunch of guns, and go to a strip club at like four in the afternoon...I’m pretty sad as far as livin’ it up. I just eat a lot of food and then go to bed. “Yeah, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! I ate a bunch of food and went to bed! No one’s gonna find out about it!”

Any good holiday plans?

I’m actually going to Tokyo. I went to Tokyo last Christmas; I just like to spend the holidays around a bunch of Asian people. Tokyo is a crazy city. It’s like a city from the future. I’m going with a couple of friends. I had a good time last year, so I thought I might as well do it again this year. And the food there’s really delicious.
