2012 Season Opening at Encore Beach Club

Encore Beach Club’s weekend-long season opening culminated this afternoon with a pulsating 2-hour-plus set by DJ Tiesto, the superstar artist’s debut at the dayclub in his yearlong residency at Steve Wynn’s Las Vegas properties the Wynn and Encore. Scantily clad fans basking in the sun clamored to snap photographs and record video of the superstar DJ on their cell phones.

2007 Playmate of the Year and G4 hostess Sara Underwood, Esquire’s “Hottest Woman of 2012, hosted the party in a super-sexy cream-colored crochet bikini, while reality TV star Brody Jenner (“The Hills,” “Bromance”) partied with friends in a second-level cabana. EDM star Alesso joined Tiesto during the electrifying DJ set outdoors in which the temperature eclipsed 100 degrees.

On Saturday -- the first day of the grand-opening events -- Grammy Award-winning singer and Las Vegas native Ne-Yo made a surprise appearance at EBC, singing the smash hit “Give Me Everything (Tonight),” a collaboration with Pitbull, Afrojack and Nayer.

Ne-Yo also partied Friday night at the adjoining Surrender Nightclub enjoying to the DJ set by Calvin Harris (Harris’ “Feel So Close” is on heavy radio rotation now). Ne-Yo and Harris recently released their single “Let’s Go.” Singer Kelis and her milkshake also were spotted in the house.

Thanks to Erik Kabik and bikini-clad Amanda Nowak for their photo gallery of the fun in the Sunday afternoon sun.

  • The festival assembled arguably its best lineup in years, yet most of the finest achievements were completely ignored.
