21st Annual Reel Awards at Golden Nugget

No, that wasn’t Joan Rivers interviewing Bette Midler and Tim McGraw on the red carpet outside the downtown Golden Nugget on Monday. It was their celebrity impersonators here for the International Celebrity Images Reel Awards.

The annual spectacle of the Celebrity Impersonators Convention brought look-alike and sound-alike doubles from all over the world for the 21st event. The Reel Awards were produced like a Hollywood show, and contributing photographer Scott Harrison shot a photo gallery watched by screaming fans and throngs of curious tourists.

Among those performing: Joan Rivers clone Dee Dee Hanson, Stephen Sorrentino (with his more than 200 impressions), Ice (Michael Jackson), Pavel Sfera (Bono), Mario Nowack (Robbie Williams), Jason Scott (Neil Diamond), Sherie Rae Parker (Bette Midler), Dave Hoover (Tim McGraw), Dean Hamilton-Bradley (Keith Urban), plus Eli Zumta (Alice Cooper), an Israeli rock singer being filmed for the docu-reality TV show “Living in La La Land.”

In honor of the late Whitney Houston, the awards also featured a performance by Trina Johnson-Finn.
