Morrissey has postponed his remaining 2012 U.S. tour dates, including a scheduled November 23 stop at the Cosmopolitan's Chelsea Ballroom, the venue announced today.

The 53-year-old ex-Smiths singer, whose solo hits include "Everyday Is Like Sunday" and "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get," had already called off a handful of shows earlier in the week, in order to be with his ailing mother in England. Today's statement read: "Due to issues with his mother’s health, Morrissey will need to remain by her side during this difficult period."

The Cosmo is encouraging ticket holders "to hold on to their tickets and look out for the rescheduled dates. The new dates will be announced shortly." For further information, call the box office at 702-698-7778.
