Update: Tickets are on sale now.

One of Las Vegas’ most memorable performing residents appears to be headed back town.

Prince, who played regularly at the Rio in late 2006 and 2007, will soon embark on a West Coast club tour that will include two dates at the Joint—April 26 and 27—his backing band, 3rd Eye Girl, revealed during a webcast interview with Drfunkenberry.com.

Other cities set for a visit from His Purple Majesty: Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Diego and Anaheim, all of which will host two shows on consecutive nights, according to 3rd Eye Girl.

Last Sunday, Prince performed at Austin, Texas, music festival South by Southwest backed by a 22-piece band—an appearance the Los Angeles Times called “a party to end all parties.”

Stay tuned for more information about the Las Vegas shows, including ticket information, in the coming days.
