This is the true story … of a Downtown destination … giving away a sick penthouse suite for the weekend!

If you recognize the opening lines we’re riffing on, you probably know what’s happening: Downtown’s Gold Spike has launched an online contest for a two-night stay in its tower-topping suite, where MTV’s The Real World wrapped filming in December 2015.

‘Real World’ Suite at Gold Spike

If you haven’t caught a glimpse of the fancied-up flat during an episode of RW’s debut Go Big or Go Home season, let us fill you in: The 5,000-square-foot, souped-up, seventh-floor apartment features three bedrooms, the RW-requisite communal bathroom, a full kitchen and living room and three rooftop patios with sweeping views of the Valley.

The winner of Gold Spike’s contest can invite six friends—because “seven strangers” finding out “what happens when people stop being polite” means seven beds—to stay during the weekend getaway, which is valued at $5,600. Those interested can submit entries online through June 1, when the winner will be announced, and sharing the contest on social media increases your odds of scoring the Downtown digs.

Winning a complimentary stay isn’t the only way to spill all your secrets in the Confessional Room, though, as Gold Spike made the suite available to book in early April, with rates starting at $2,200 per night Sunday through Thursday and $2,500 per night Friday and Saturday. It follows a tradition set by Palms, where the first Vegas-based Real World (Season 12) was filmed in 2001—both that off-Strip property and the Hard Rock Hotel (where Season 25 was filmed in 2011) have maintained their RW suites for potential bookings (and the occasional VIP party).

So, want to play pretend while “getting real” with your BFFs? You’ve got just under a month to submit and share your way to Gold Spike’s seventh floor.
