Who knew racoons could be badass? This fellow is one of the heroes in upcoming Marvel offering Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1) The end-credits tag of Thor: The Dark World offered a brief glimpse at the world of these space-faring heroes, who will expand Marvel’s movie universe into the cosmos. Also, one of them is a talking raccoon.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1, 2015) The superhero team returns to take on villainous android Ultron (played by James Spader). New heroes Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) are set to join Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Ant-Man (July 17, 2015) Paul Rudd will play the superhero who can shrink down to any size, Michael Douglas will play his mentor, and Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, The World’s End) will direct.

The Defenders (TBD) Marvel’s massive Netflix project will involve individual 13-episode series for four different characters (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist), who will then team up for a miniseries. Daredevil begins shooting this July.

Note: Although new movies featuring Marvel characters Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are also on the way, they are produced by other studios and aren’t part of the company’s movie/TV universe.
