Do your holiday shopping right at the Neon Bazaar

Neon Bazaar November 30, noon-6 p.m., Jackie Gaughan Plaza, neonbazaarlv.com.

While the fools are licking their wounds after climbing on each other trying to get at Target’s discounted vacuums on Black Friday, you can spend Saturday community building and stockpiling holiday gifts your loved ones will never see coming. For one day, the Neon Bazaar pop-up market will fill the Jackie Gaughan Plaza across from the El Cortez with independent retailers, artists and designers. More than 50 vendors will show their wares, ranging from healthy treats by Manbake to fine art prints by Ninjabot to funky-chic watches by Winky Designs. But the market isn’t just about goods that fit in a gift bag. Stop by the Grateful Yogi to chat about workshops in kirtan devotional chanting, or get details about Stitch Factory classes focused on everything from introductory fashion design to ugly holiday sweaters. Favorite new Arts District bar Velveteen Rabbit will even be on hand, representing for Downtown. This is your chance to get in on the neighborhood’s local love-fest while supporting the national initiative known as Small Business Saturday. Grab a slider and a cup of coffee, shop your ass off and get in the spirit.
