It will be quite the mixed bag of star sightings and celebrity hostings in Las Vegas this weekend, as a range of comedians, musicians, and MMA fighters are all expected to come to town.

It will be a relatively quiet Friday, fairly action-packed Saturday, and virtually silent Sunday in our fair city.

Between partisan politics, alternative energy and the mysterious pro-torture memos, there's a lot of reasons Lewis Black is making this face.

Cranky comic Lewis Black will get things started this evening and will take to Terry Fator’s stage in the Mirage for back-to-back performances tonight and Saturday.

Meanwhile, former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon will be at Luxor, where the MTV hostess will do what she does so well – host – at LAX.

Also this evening, Kenny G will perform out in Primm, at the Star of the Desert Arena.

Saturday will be a far-more eventful evening, with UFC 106 going down at Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Tito Ortiz will meet Forrest Griffin in the octagon in the main event of the night, while others scheduled to face off include Josh “Kos” Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson; Amir Sadollah and Phil Baroni; Luiz Cane and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira; Karo Parisyan and Dustin Hazelett; and Ben Saunders and Marcus Davis, among others.

Regardless of what happens in the Octagon, Ortiz is scheduled to host a post-fight party at Tao; Johnson has pledged to host an after party at Studio 54; and Sadollah has signed on to host the official Tap Out post fight party at Privé.

Here’s hoping all three fare better than Miguel Cotto, who last weekend suffered such a blood-drenched beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao that he didn’t make it to his after party at Pure.

MMA ring girl Natasha Wicks will also throw a post-UFC 106 party on Saturday night. The beauty will oversee the festivities at Hawaiian Tropic Zone, which is holding a UFC 106 viewing party, as well – though no MMA ring girls are confirmed to the at that portion of the party.

Moving right along, Jessie James will be at Pure on Saturday night, while former NFL wide receiver Tim Brown will celebrate his upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame eligibility earlier that afternoon, at Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill. The 1987 Heisman Trophy winner is up for the 2010 honor, and will be at Harrah’s from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

And finally, both Kenny Loggins and Jim Messinain will perform out in Primm on Saturday night.
