Rumors have swirled for months over the delays of the first Kardashian celebrity lifestyle retail boutique planned at the Mirage. Now I can confirm that the latest business venture of the Kardashian sisters and matriarch Kris Jenner is scheduled to open in November.
The flagship store will showcase products that sisters Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian Odom and mom Kris market, represent and endorse. Additionally, there will be new specialty souvenir items and other limited-edition products exclusively designed by the girls, Kris and Cici Bussey, creative director for Khaos.
I’m reliably told that there will be exciting surprises coordinated with the Mirage at the store, which is the first of an eventual chain in the United States.
“It’s hard to think of a brand that embodies fun, energy and excitement better than the Kardashian brand. The Kardashian women have developed an extraordinary international following, and we’re thrilled that the Mirage will play home to their first Las Vegas store, Kardashian Khaos,” said Felix Rappaport, Mirage president. “We look forward to a wonderful relationship with Kris, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, and to welcoming their fans from around the world.”
*Happy 85th Birthday wishes to legendary burlesque entertainer Dixie Evans. She’ll celebrate the milestone Saturday at Royal Resort near the Las Vegas Convention Center. Nobody has done more to preserve the art and history of burlesque, and Dixie continues to keep it alive and well by inspiring a new generation of striptease artistes.
Burlesque beauties from past and present, including local lovelies Cha Cha Velour, Kalani Kokonuts, Vi Vacious, Miss Karla Joy, Cabernet Dance and Melody Sweets from Absinthe at Caesars Palace, will perform in a salute to Dixie.
*X Burlesque at the Flamingo and Men of X at Hooters Hotel producers Angela and Matt Stabile, who also have shows in Reno and Atlantic City, have won a $635,000 judgment against former lawyer Greg Cortese as the result of a messed-up lawsuit with a one-time investor.

Now in less than four years, the company is ready to open its fourth restaurant here -- and its first downtown -- at the renovated Plaza. The new outlet has 83 employees and welcomes guests for the first time tomorrow at 9 a.m. The restaurant, which seats 165, is at the front entrance of the Plaza next to registration and the lobby.
*Iron Chef winner Kerry Simon starts his 2011 Las Vegas Restaurant Week activities tonight when he hosts at his KGB in Harrah’s. Kerry will conduct an auction and tells me that all of his gourmet burgers and Iron Chef sliders will be priced at $20, with all proceeds going to our food bank Three Square.
Bachelor Pad Season 1 winners David Good and Natalie Getz were poolside with cast mate Jesse Kovacs at a VIP table during Manufactured Superstars’ DJ set at XS in the Encore. The trio was in town for Dave’s 30th birthday celebration Saturday at Club Nikki at the Tropicana. Natalie wore a black-and-white striped bikini, ivory crocheted cover-up and short, short denim cutoffs, while the men showed off their buff bodies in board shorts and Manufactured Superstars black-rimmed nerd glasses. In a separate group, UFC star Tito Ortiz and wife Jenna Jameson hung out onstage together during the party. The couple looked very happy and in love and didn’t leave each other’s side all night.
Linkin Park, with frontman and our hometown tattoo storeowner Chester Bennington, rock The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. … The 2011 National Celebration of the Pure Spanish Horse championship show runs through Saturday at South Point’s Equestrian Events Center. They are one of the rarest breeds in the U.S. and admired by royalty as the “horse of kings.” The five-day show features an art expo, a horse auction, a theatrical production and a Mexican heritage night, with the $5,000 grand-prize dressage competition finals over Labor Day weekend. … The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl musicians Naked and Famous perform at the Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool. … And Bob Zany, Gene Pompa and Ahmed Baroocha are at The Improv at Harrah’s through Sunday.
We’ll have a report and photo gallery from the Linkin Park concert, plus Erik Kabik, a regular contributor to Vegas DeLuxe, unveils a stunning exhibit of his rock and roll photos at the John Varvatos store at the Hard Rock Hotel.
