Robin Leach's Vegas DeLuxe
Reality TV stars mixed with star athletes and even a celebrity doctor over the MVP VIP warm weather weekend. Super Bowl XLV hero and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers began his Las Vegas romp at Terry Fator’s headliner show at The Mirage and wound up with Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D at the Palms, with stops everywhere else in between.
Our contributing photographers Denise Truscello, Erik Kabik, Scott Harrison, Joe Fury, Al Powers, Edison Graff and Hew Burney were up and down The Strip to capture all the glamour and excitement.
Pauly D and Aaron Rodgers at the Palms
It was a jam-packed weekend at the Palms, as celebrities flocked to the off-Strip casino resort to party like it’s 2011. Aaron Rodgers dined at N9NE Steakhouse in a party of eight that included teammate Matt Wilhelm. Aaron and Matt toured Executive Chef Barry S. Dakake’s kitchen and signed his Shakedown Door. DJ Pauly D stopped by to congratulate Aaron on his Super Bowl win.
Also dining at N9NE: NFL Total Access analyst Marshall Faulk in a party of four; boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.; and Paul Stanley of KISS and his son.
Pauly D was introduced to New Kids on the Block singer Joe McIntyre and singer/songwriter Emanuel Kiriakou, whose show One Too Many at Midnight is at The Lounge at the Palms through mid-March, and the trio posed for photographs. The singers hosted a meet-and-greet and The Studio at the Palms and were presented with keys to The Playboy Club.
Pauly D and his crew dined at Nove Italiano with California resident Susan Woo and her two friends. Susan was the lucky lady whose pick-up line won Pauly D’s attention during a Facebook contest held last week and a Valentine’s Day weekend date with the MTV star. After dinner, Rodgers and his group stopped by to take shots with Pauly D and his friends.
Upstairs at Moon, Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars partied with friends and enjoyed Ketel One cocktails. Pauly D and Aaron enjoyed the scene from a VIP table with 10 others, including Susan. Pauly D got behind the turntables and spinned the wheels of steel for 2 hours, at one point popping a bottle of champagne in the house and spraying the crowd. Also at Moon: NFL free agent Josh Scobey and eight friends.
Lauren Conrad celebrates at Pure
The Hills star Lauren Conrad celebrated her 25th birthday at Pure in Caesars Palace on Saturday night. L.C. arrived at the Nightclub & Bar Awards’ Mega Nightclub of the Year shortly before midnight and was joined by My Boys star and boyfriend Kyle Howard and BFFs Frankie Delgado and Mora McManus.
Young designer Lauren answered questions and posed on the red carpet in a copper sequin dress by Farah Khan and black patent leather platforms, while her newly darkened tresses were pulled back in a classic bun. Camera-shy Kyle stayed off the red carpet. Inside Pure, the birthday girl was presented with a cake decorated with a Chanel handbag and a pair of Christian Louboutins.
While in town, Lauren dined at Chef Joe Elevado’s Social House at Crystals at MGM’s CityCenter.
Jonah Hill’s super bad weekend
Funnyman Jonah Hill was spotted at Marquee at The Cosmopolitan on Friday night with a group of eight guys, including writer and director Max Winkler, the son of Henry Winkler. The group, in town for their annual Las Vegas trip, dined at Tao at The Venetian and enjoyed shots of Patron and Tsing Tao cocktails before heading over to Marquee.
They arrived just as DJ Chuckie hit the decks and partied at a VIP table stocked with Coronas and Ketel One. Also at Marquee: Minnesota Vikings owner Zygmunt Wilf attending a friend’s bachelor party. The group, decked out in suits, enjoyed Chivas and Don Julio Silver until 3 a.m.
On Saturday night, Jonah and his high school and college pals dined at Lavo at the Palazzo before heading to Tao to enjoy the sounds of DJ Vice, and then onto Marquee for a second night. Their first stop at Marquee was The Boom Box Room with DJ Eric D-Lux and then The Main Room with DJ Kaskade.
