Entertainment legend Liza Minnelli had fans screaming for more at the end of her 90-minute knockout concert at the Las Vegas Hilton last night. She scored five standing ovations during her song festival and closed the show under a solo spotlight with one added number without her amazing band.

You could have heard a pin drop in the one-time Elvis Presley showroom as Liza magically held the sold-out crowd spellbound. It was the night you never wanted her music to stop.

Holly’s World co-star Laura Croft, Pawn Stars magician Murray Sawchuck, Desperate Housewives creator Mark Cherry and Imperial Palace headliner Frank Marino were among the attendees, and all told me that it was one of the best performances they’d ever seen and she’d ever given.

Liza’s voice was even stronger and more riveting than when I watched her in Italy this summer. She was so confident and happy being back in Las Vegas and told me backstage: “It’s always so special to come back here. I have so many happy memories of being here.”

It was a masterful night of show business and theater as Liza belted out her hits and paid homage to Charles Aznavour, Bob Fosse, Kander and Ebb and Stephen Sondheim. Our thanks to contributing photographers Tom Donoghue and Scott Harrison for today’s photo galleries of the onstage and backstage action.

Amazing impressionist Jeff Tracta, who used to star on The Bold and the Beautiful, opened Liza’s show. He also dazzled with uncanny impressions of Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton and Reagan and his interpretations of Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel and George Burns. At one section, he performed 50 voices back-to-back in just five minutes.

Liza and Jeff’s show was produced by John McEntee, who propelled the career of Terry Fator from America’s Got Talent Season 2 $1 million winner to Mirage headliner. Liza has one more show tonight as part of a benefit for our Nevada Ballet Theater.
