The Killers are coming to town! Or, more accurately, The Killers are driving over to the Strip!

Las Vegas' most famous musical foursome will close out a month-long tour in support of new album Battle Born Friday, December 28 and Saturday, December 29 at the Cosmopolitan's Chelsea Ballroom.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 21, at 9 a.m. and run from $86 to $125, with access to an open bar included at the higher end.

Battle Born, which comes nearly four years after the preceding Day & Age, officially goes on sale on Tuesday, September 18. Las Vegas Weekly reviewer Smith Galtney gave the record four stars out of five, writing that it "attains a nice balance of fire and glory and nuance."

The Cosmopolitan also has the Red Hot Chili Peppers booked to play the same room on New Year's Eve.

Update: Now comes word that, along with national support act Tegan and Sara, Las Vegas band Most Thieves will open both Killers shows at the Cosmopolitan. The local quintet, which recently released debut album Unnecessary Maps, is also on the bill for the September 22 Killers concert in Toronto.
