With the Billboard Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Latin Grammys, Las Vegas has become a music awards show destination. Add a new one to the list: Insomniac and Dick Clark Productions announced a partnership today to produce a dance music awards show in Las Vegas.
“Creating an award show focused on all the creative components that contribute to the success of dance music (music, art, production and lighting) has been a dream of mine for years,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac, in a released statement.
A title for the awards show hasn’t been decided yet, though the event will occur during 2014’s Electric Daisy Carnival Week. Dick Clark Productions already produces several events on the Strip, including the Miss USA pageant and the previously mentioned ACMAs.
