Tool, Megadeth, Lana Del Rey and more announce Las Vegas shows

The past week has seen a deluge of new concert announcements, chock full of more Coachella spillover, metal heavy-hitters and other gigs to get excited about. Here’s a look at the latest local concert announcements and on-sales (unless otherwise noted, all tickets go on sale Friday, February 14 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster):

Alt-metal kings Tool are slated to play the new Axis theater at Planet Hollywood on Saturday, March 15. Tickets cost $80.

Latin pop star Alejandro Fernandez returns to Las Vegas with his Confidencias World Tour this fall, playing the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, September 14 as part of a Mexican Independence Day celebration. Tickets range from $65 to $225.

Coachella headliners Motorhead will team up with fellow metal heavyweights Megadeth for a doubleheader at the Pearl on Thursday, April 17. Tickets start at $45.

Also coming to the Pearl is country rock outfit Eli Young Band, who stop by the venue with tunes from their new album 10,000 Towns on Saturday, May 10. Tickets start at $30 and go on sale Friday, February 21 through Ticketmaster and the Palms box office.

If Tool, Motorhead and Megadeth aren’t enough for your metal fix, Queensrÿche announced they’ll be playing their seminal album Operation Mindcrime in its entirety at the House of Blues on Wednesday, April 2. Tickets range from $30 to $40.

Atlanta metal rockers Mastodon are also coming to the House of Blues with a gig on Saturday, May 3. Tickets cost $26.50.

The House of Blues will also welcome Swedish indie rockers The Sounds with special guests Blondfire on Friday, March 28. Tickets cost $22 and are currently on sale.

Psychedelic dance-pop outfit Jagwar Ma hits Beauty Bar on Wednesday, April 9. Tickets are $10 and on sale now through ticketcake,com.

The Cosmopolitan announced more Coachella spillover for April, including a set by Lana Del Rey at the Chelsea on Friday, April 11. Tickets range from $35 to $45. Angelenos Grouplove and Warpaint will share the stage at the Boulevard Pool on Thursday, April 10, both touting songs from their respective new albums. Tickets cost $25. Finally, genre bending pop songstress Ellie Goulding will also play the pool on Saturday, April 12. Tickets cost $35.

Off the Strip, Backstage Bar and Billiards announced a slate of new bookings, beginning with hip-hop duo Blackalicious with RNR and Ekoh on Sunday, March 9. Coachellans Bear Hands will play on Thursday, April 17 and Scottish punks Oi Polloi have a gig on Wednesday, April 23. On-sale times and prices are to be announced. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketfly.com.
