Concert on-sales: Aretha Franklin, The Sensational Space Shifters, Crocodiles and more

This week’s on-sales are all about legends: the undisputed queen of soul, Led Zeppelin’s ramblin’ frontman, two Wu-Tang Clan MCs and the man behind the Million Dollar Piano. Keep scrolling for the details on Vegas’ most recent concert announcements.

Decade-spanning soul icon Aretha Franklin will play the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on August 14. Tickets are $55-$160 and go on sale March 20 at 10 a.m. at axs.com. Pop monarch Elton John also announced additional dates for his Million Dollar Piano residency at the Colosseum, with various dates throughout October. Brooklyn Bowl announced seven shows this week, including former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and his band The Sensational Space Shifters on May 28. Tickets are $77 and go on sale March 20 at 10 a.m. Other artists coming to the Bowl are Wu Tang’s Ghostface Killah and Raekwon on April 13 ($25), Andy Frasco and the U.N. on April 25 ($8), The Expendables on May 14 ($15), Preservation Hall Jazz Band on June 11 ($20), Yelawolf on June 12 ($15) and Between the Buried and Me on July 18 ($20). X107.5’s Our Big Concert returns to the Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool, featuring indie-rock and pop artists Cage the Elephant, Dirty Heads, New Politics, Big Data and Joywave on May 28. Tickets are $40 and go on sale March 20 at 10 a.m.

The bluesy 11-piece group Tedeschi Trucks Band rolls into Vegas with its Wheels of Soul tour on June 9 at the Pearl at Palms with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings and Doyle Bramhall II. Tickets are $53-$133 and go on sale March 20 at noon.

UK reggae group UB40 will play the Joint on October 16. Tickets are $40-$55 and go on sale March 20 at 10 a.m. at axs.com. Comedian Jim Jefferies also makes a stop at the Joint for his Freedumb Tour on October 3. Tickets are $45-$65 and go on sale March 20 at noon.

Indie garage-rockers Crocodiles land at the Bunkhouse on May 21 ($10) and metal/experimental rock bands Torche and Melt Banana play the Downtown venue on July 26 ($20). Tickets to Crocodiles are on sale now at ticketfly.com.

Chinese vocalist Na Ying is set to perform at Planet Hollywood on May 23. Tickets are $68-$228 and are on sale now at ticketmaster.com.
