We spent nine hours at Punk Rock Bowling on Sunday, and a good chunk of our non-band-watching time was spent brainstorming—about acts we’d like to see play the Downtown festival, which haven’t (to the best of our knowledge) played before.
Our only requirements: that the bands fit in with the general Punk Rock Bowling sound (see: punk or derivations thereof), and that their key figures be living (no holograms allowed). So here they are, the (alphabetically ordered) laundry list compiled by Weekly editor Spencer Patterson, Sun sportswriter (and hardcore-a-holic) Case Keefer and Weekly contributor Chris Bitonti, who also plays in Vegas band Eliza Battle, which performed at the fest this year. And yes, we realize most these are unlikely to happen, ever.
Oh, and don’t forget to add picks of your own in the comments section below. You never know when Punk Rock Bowling’s booking team might be looking.
