The ballots have been counted and the results are in, but there’s one more set of candidates for Las Vegans to consider: the 2017 nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Windmill Library’s Music Club is getting in on the fun by hosting a Rock Hall meeting on Sunday, November 20 at 4 p.m. The club, which hosts monthly themed meetings, will discuss the 19 nominees and “decide who we think is worthy of being in the Hall of Fame,” writes organizer Kevin Bowman. “Or at least, have fun arguing about it.”

Hall of Fame Inductees are voted in by more than 600 historians, music industry members and artists, including all living Rock & Roll hall of fame inductees. The top five artists chosen by fans comprise one ballot among the rest of the submissions. This year’s nominees are: Bad Brains, Joan Baez, The Cars, Chic, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, The J. Geils Band, Janet Jackson, Jane’s Addiction, Journey, Chaka Khan, Kraftwerk, MC5, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Steppenwolf, Joe Tex, Yes and The Zombies.

Music from all of this year's nominees is available in the library’s physical CD collection, and within online library services Hoopla and Freegal, which are free to users with a library card.

Windmill Music Club November 20, 4 p.m., free. Windmill Library, 7060 W. Windmill Lane, 702-507-6036.
