LasVegasWeekly.com received one of the top honors in online journalism today, as the Las Vegas Weekly website received Editor & Publisher’s 2014 EPPY Award for Best Entertainment Website with under 1 million unique monthly visitors.
Over 400 entries were submitted for this year’s nationwide awards, which were rated by a panel of 78 judges across 33 categories. Finalists were announced last week on October 22, and Weekly beat out five other nominees in its category for the top spot, including Honolulu Pulse, Lawrence.com, OnMilwaukee.com, Tap Milwaukee and TicketsSarasota.com.
The award comes one year after Weekly’s 2013 EPPY win for Best Redesign/Relaunch with under 1 million unique monthly visitors, which followed awards for Best Entertainment Website with under 1 million unique monthly visitors from 2009 to 2011.
The web component for Weekly sister publication VEGAS INC, VEGASINC.com, was also honored today, receiving the EPPY for Best Business/Finance Website with under 1 million unique monthly visitors.
