While we’ve often seen Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison behind the counter at Downtown’s World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, he’ll be behind a different counter Friday night: the second-floor bar at Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern.

The reality star will sling drinks at the Pawn Plaza bar during the new outdoor mall’s October 9 grand opening, which features a private ribbon-cutting ceremony with the mayor and GOP presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio, an exclusive, invite-only party and the official public unveiling at 9 p.m., when Harrison will debut his mixology skills. And don’t worry—he’s legit. He recently obtained a TAM card and even went to bartending school for the occasion.

Smoke's Poutinerie at Pawn Plaza is already serving up its takes on the beloved Canadian dish.

Pawn Plaza has signed on nine tenants, including new-to-the-roster BodySpa Salon and Pawn Plaza Vow Renewals by VegasWeddings.com. While a representative says all operations will be up and running later this month, Smoke’s Poutinerie and Rita’s Italian Ice have already soft-opened, with Vegas Flip Flops, So-Cal Speed Shop and Rollin Smoke's upstairs tavern joining them at Friday night’s christening.

If you can’t make it to the grand opening but still want a Harrison-crafted cocktail, you might be in luck—rumor is he may make a side gig out of tending bar at his namesake watering hole.
