With their catchy pop beats, powerful ballads and up tempo rock songs, the guys of Las Vegas’ Miles to Empty hope to bring back meaningful, original rock music to a town known for its casino lounge acts and cover bands. Ryan, Mikey, Nate and Norberto of M2E, bring their own musical “flavor” to the table. The members of Miles to Empty all come from different places and musical backgrounds. Some were born and raised right here in Las Vegas and some moved to the city less than five years ago. With influences ranging from Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Gin Blossoms, The Who, Queen, Counting Crows, 3 Doors Down and Dream Theatre to country acts such as Garth Brooks, George Strait and Brooks and Dunn, members of the band bring these influences and others to create the catchy pop style that is, Miles To Empty. Formed in late 2006, Miles to Empty have played local Las Vegas venues including The Cheyenne Saloon, Freakin Frog, MJ’s Bar & Grill, The Ice House Lounge, The Bunkhouse Saloon, The Emergency Room and Puff Lounge. In April 2007, M2E was asked to play a show for The Relay for Life, a benefit concert put on by The American Cancer Society at Silverado High School. November 2008 saw M2E opening for national recording artist: Fastball at the Canyon Club inside the Four Queens Hotel and Casino, on the famous Fremont Street in Las Vegas.
“We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel, we just want to make music that everyone wants to hear and sing along to, regardless of age background or preferred genre.”
As Mikey likes to say, “The time to rock is upon us…”
