Freakin’ Frog giving it up for charity

By Ken Miller

Enjoy the Grouse -- and feel good about yourself.

The Freakin’ Frog, one of Las Vegas’ finest bars and the place to go if you’re a whiskey fanatic, will be offering a portion of its proceeds to the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada for the next three days, part of its “Drink Up For Downs” program.

From November 21-23, the Frog will offer tastings of various marks of Macallan whiskey for $200. That includes 10-year, 12-year, 15-year, 17-year, 18-year and 25-year, and all structured tastings will be held at midnight. In addition, there will be a master class taught by master mixologist John DuPont at 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Highland Park and Famous Grouse will also be prominently featured as part of the fundraiser. For a limited time, the Frog will offer Famous Grouse for $4 and Ginger Grouse (ginger beer and Grouse) for $6.

The Frog is at 4700 S. Maryland Parkway, just across the street from UNLV. Drop in and show you care while showing your appreciation for the finer things in life.
