Mandy Moore’s on-again romance with DJ AM goes public amid three days of Strip partying

Multitalented pop singer-actress Mandy Moore’s three-day Vegas visit was really all about her resumed and reconciled romance with Pure nightclub’s DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein.
Mandy, who won an MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance for A Walk to Remember, tried to keep it all covered up and super quiet -- well, away from paparazzi and gossip gurus -- but we now definitely know that the twosome are back together again. Happily, the new romance blossomed all over again out of a near tragedy.
Click HERE for our Luxe Life reports of how Adam narrowly escaped death alongside fellow Learjet passenger Travis Barker when their plane exploded on takeoff on Sept. 19, killing four others. We reported his transfer to a special burn treatment center and then onto a Los Angeles hospital.

What nobody knew at the time was that Mandy was at his side helping ensure that everything was fine with his recovery and offering her help whenever possible. Some insiders reported that she refused to be separated from him during his recovery phase.
The two had a brief two-month fling back in 2007 but broke up last year well before the jet crash. She was dating rocker Ryan Adams until her hospital bedside care and concerns brought her back to Adam again, and they came to Vegas this weekend. They almost pulled off their reconciliation without recognition -- until we started digging a little harder. They’d only been first spotted back together in mid-October at an awards show.
Mandy came to Vegas with three girlfriends, and they provided most of the cover up out in the open, while on the inside she and Adam were able to enjoy the quiet moments alone!
First, upon arrival, Mandy went to Tao nightclub at The Venetian to meet up with UFC fan favorite Kenny Florian. The next night, she went to see Bette Midler’s “The Showgirl Must Go On” spectacular at Caesars Palace, and afterwards Mandy met Bette backstage in her dressing room to say hi. Then with the three girlfriends in tow, Mandy dined at the new Lavo hotspot in the Palazzo. The girls even had the Lavo/Tao Escalade electric cart transport them to Barney’s for late-night shopping.
Meantime, DJ AM had slipped quietly late into town and waited patiently for Mandy’s return. Their romantic rendezvous was kept hidden and remained top secret until after the big UFC fight between Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar that Vegas DeLuxe covered earlier (click HERE).
My good friend Rain Andreani was picked to do Mandy’s makeup with her new Rain line of cosmetics. “She’s really sweet,” said Rain, who gave her a kabuki brush and lip gloss because she was so pleased with her look. Mandy and actress girlfriend Laura Prepon loved the fight and were ecstatic, rooting for Mandy’s fighter friend Kenny Florian, who beat Joe “Daddy” Stevenson.
After the battle, it was time for a sushi, sashimi and sake supper at Social House in Treasure Island -- and there was Adam waiting in the Newspaper Room. Joined by a few friends, they ordered up mini Kobe burgers and yellowtail jalapeno. Former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson sat at the adjoining table.
Mandy and Adam held hands, nuzzled and rubbed each other’s shoulders. Afterwards, they hit Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace. Finally, the secret romance shone out in the open again as the spotlights hit both of them hooked up in his DJ booth! Mandy hosted the soiree while boyfriend Adam twisted the turntables.
They even turned up together just before midnight but stayed separate for as long as they could. She was on a bed at a VIP table while he was just feet away in the booth and stuck with plain Fiji water as she had all weekend long. Mandy took time to pose for photos with fans, but then couldn’t resist anymore and went to Adam’s side in the booth!
Just-eliminated Dancing With the Stars contestant and two-time Olympic gold medal winner Maurice Green and Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard also were alongside in Pure’s VIP section for the night with friends.
I was told: “Mandy is different from all the other Hollywood girls. She’s quiet, polite, well-behaved and doesn’t party like a wild woman. She wants a romance kept real and not ruined by the Hollywood glare.
“She tries to keep it under the radar. It is special for both of them, and they’re trying to be normal about it as it develops. But they’re definitely back together again.”
Mandy writes her own blog complete with photos at www.mandymoore.com, and it’s there you also will find her own YouTube video of a recent impromptu performance she gave:

Now comes inside word that Adam has agreed to help work on Mandy’s sixth album in the recording studio over the next few months. The success of her fifth CD Wild Hope won her a new deal with unprecedented total control of her music projects. She was most recently seen on the big screen in the Robin Williams comedy License to Wed.
