The slate of exciting summer concerts in Las Vegas continues to expand as the Cosmopolitan announced today that indie favorites Bloc Party and Santigold play the hotel-casino’s Boulevard Pool on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 9 p.m.
The double bill promises to be an exciting, dance-heavy set, with Brits Bloc Party returning from a 4-year hiatus and Santigold delivering new material from her anticipated sophomore release “Master of My Make-Believe,” out May 1. Tickets cost $30 and go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. via the Cosmopolitan’s website and Ticketmaster.
The Joint at the Hard Rock also revealed today that soul-pop duo Daryl Hall and John Oates will take the stage at the venue Thursday, Sept. 20. Hall & Oates is honoring the 40th anniversary of their debut album “Whole Oats,” and fans at the show can expect to hear favorites from that record up through their most recent recordings. Tickets start at $45 and go on sale this Saturday at noon via the Hard Rock box office and Ticketmaster.
Finally, XS has revealed that EDM favorite Deadmau5 will be playing a special set at the club this Cinco de Mayo weekend on Sunday. The gig is part of a preview party for the acclaimed DJ’s new EP “The Veldt,” slated for release June 25; the EP is the first in a series to be released by Deadmau5 in coming months, which he plans to compile into a full album this year.
