Some DJs can rock a party for a night. Swedish Egil has been making people move for more than two decades. The 56-year-old DJ and remixer calls Los Angeles home where he carved a space for dance music on the American FM airwaves, the Internet and satellite radio.
From his beginnings in Sweden with his friend’s mobile DJ company to organizing and playing at his boarding school dances, Egil’s record crate evolved from funk, soul and disco in the ‘70s, through the new-wave music of the ‘80s and the precursor of electronic music to the house he plays today.
