Sunday: Head to the hills for Winter Rx Games

Image

This Sunday drag your ass out of bed and watch local athletes in really baggy pants do what they do best: rip it up on the slopes.

Pharmacy Boardshop’s Winter Rx Games snowboard competition is heading back to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort for its second year and inviting local snow fiends to come test their chops on rails, boxes and other obstacles erected at the bottom of the hill.

Local boarders and representatives from snowboard companies will judge the tricks, with free gear from brands like Tyrant, Spy and ThirtyTwo and entry fee profits going to the winners in men and women's divisions.

Last year’s inaugural Rx Games brought out over 100 talented local boarders, and this year’s Games are expected to be just as competitive. Now, close your eyes, jump up and down, start chanting and pray for snow.

Competitors can sign up starting at 9 a.m. and pay $20 to enter, which comes with a discounted full day lift ticket also for $20.
