Engvall broke into comedy through appearances on television shows like Star Search and Designing Women. In 2007, he became the star of his self-titled sitcom, The Bill Engvall Show. Engvall’s comedy has even stretched into the music industry with his popular phrase “Here’s Your Sign” immortalized in music forever in a song by country star, Travis Tritt.
