Three weeks. Thirty-two pizza joints. Thousands of votes. And in the end, the winner of Las Vegas Weekly’s 2017 Ultimate Vegas Pizza Bracket is … Naked City Pizza!

Chris Palmeri’s square-shaped, Buffalo, New York-style pizza—available at four locations around town (Naked City Pizza at Arville and Desert Inn and on Paradise south of Harmon; Naked City Tavern on Pecos north of Sunset; and at Naked City Express inside the Blue Diamond Saloon)—took on a series of heavy hitters en route to the title, including Giordano’s, Settebello, Pizza Rock and Grimaldi’s.
Grimaldi’s reached the championship round by besting Metro Pizza in the semifinals. Among other Vegas favorites featured in the tournament: Rocco’s NY Pizzeria, Downtown’s Evel Pie and the Cosmpolitan’s Secret Pizza.
“There’s a lot of good pizza in this town now,” Palmeri said. “I’m just happy when Naked City is mentioned with the Metros and Pizza Rocks and Settebellos and Grimaldi’s, so for us to come out on top is really cool, especially when it’s people voting for it.”
