There are two things I know about pizza: 1) it’s a very subjective food, and 2) it’s always pretty good. So when my friend Kari told me the pizza joint behind the handle @BestPizzaInLV actually deserved its Twitter name, I was 1) a bit apprehensive, and 2) super hungry.

Hiding out in a Home Depot shopping center in the southwest, Biaggio’s looks like any other small neighborhood pizzeria, and the menu doesn’t provide many surprises. But the food is tasty and prepared with love, and there’s lots of it. We started with a decent version of fried macaroni and cheese bites, deliciously crispy chicken wings and a creamy salad with tons of grilled chicken. By the time the vegetarian pizza and chicken and artichoke stromboli came out steaming, I was already full. But I pushed through and was rewarded for my effort. Biaggio’s pizza is very New Yorkish, with a thin foldable crust and a unique, almost sweet taste. Best in LV? That’s subjective, but this stuff is better than pretty good.
