2011 Thanksgiving Guide: Where to dine in town

Salvatore's Ristorante Italiano starts is holiday meal with appetizers including roasted turkey chowder, lobster bisque and a variety of salads. Entrees include a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, salmon in a pastry shell served with asparagus and sole Veronica with citrus risotto. The meal is priced a la carte and served from 2 to 9 p.m.

The St. Tropez Buffet is adding Thanksgiving entrees and sides to its normal menu. The buffet is $15.99 with B-Connected Card for up to four people, $17.99 without the card and is offered from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Henderson and Green Valley:

Eldorado and Jokers Wild casinos in Henderson offer a traditional turkey or ham dinner for $8.99, or a combination of both for $9.99. Both options include a soup and salad bar, plus pie for dessert.

Ravella at Lake Las Vegas:

Ravella at Lake Las Vegas offers a bottomless champagne feast that starts with soups and salads or a bowl of fresh pasta and made-to-order sauce. Entrees include prime rib of beef, Yorkshire puddings and juniper-rubbed venison with pear chutney. For more traditional fare, enjoy organic turkey and herb stuffing and gravy. In addition to turkey, guests can enjoy smoked salmon and trout for bagels and lox, crab claws, prawns, lobster, oysters and clams, plus a variety of desserts. Station Casinos:

The Feast and Festival Buffets at Station Casino properties will expand their normal buffet selections during lunch and dinner to include a carving station with turkey and ham, plus traditional sides like sage stuffing, green bean and mushroom casserole and mashed potatoes and unique offerings like roasted spaghetti squash with pumpkin ravioli and salmon with pecan maple chutney. Holiday desserts include caramel apples, pumpkin pie and cheesecake. Thanksgiving prices for lunch and dinner are as follows:

Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch: $21.99 with Boarding Pass rewards card, $23.99 without.

Aliante Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station and Sunset Station: $14.99 with Boarding Pass rewards card, $16.99 without.

Palace Station, Texas Station, Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho: $12.99 with Boarding Pass rewards card, $14.99 without.

Buffet hours will remain the same for Thanksgiving and vary by property.

Pasta Cucina takes an Italian twist on the holiday, offering items like basil-rubbed turkey, Italian sausage and pine nut dressing, roasted garlic and chive whipped potatoes, Tuscan sweet potatoes, orange cranberry sauce and pumpkin cheesecake cannoli for dessert. The meal is $14.99 per person. Aliante Station, Boulder Station and Texas Station's locations will be open at 3 p.m. Palace Station and Sunset Station will open at 4 p.m.

Terra Rossa at Red Rock Resort and Terra Verde at Green Valley Ranch Resort will offer gourmet Italian Thanksgiving menus. The a la carte menu at Terra Rossa features pumpkin ravioli, a choice of porcini roasted turkey with sausage fennel stuffing or rack of lamb with a pistachio crust. For dessert, there is a choice of a pumpkin panna cotta or vanilla roasted pear. Prices are $10 to $48 per dish. The restaurant opens at noon.

The a la carte menu at Terra Verde includes an appetizer of sauteed asparagus with cheese fondue and white truffle, followed by turkey with sausage and pine nut stuffing, mascarpone and honey-glazed yams, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce or butternut squash-filled ravioli for entrees. Prices are $10 $28 per dish. The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m.

Cabo Mexican Restaurant is offering a South of the border spin on Thanksgiving with a meal platter that includes shredded turkey enchiladas with poblano mole sauce and poblano stuffing. Cabo will be open at 11 a.m. at Boulder Station, noon at Sunset Station, 3 p.m. at Aliante Station, Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station and 4 p.m. at Palace Station. The holiday platter is $13.99 per person. Cabo locations at Palace Station and Sunset Station are accepting reservations.

Grand Cafes at Boulder Station, Palace Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station and Texas Station will offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with slow-roast turkey, chestnut stuffing, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, candied yams and a choice of pumpkin or apple pie. The Thanksgiving special will be offered from 11 a.m. to closing and is $15.99 per person at Red Rock Resort, where guests will have a prime rib entree option, an additional soup/salad course and more dessert choices. The special is $9.99 per person at all other locations. Reservations are not accepted.

Each steakhouse and Oyster Bar location, in addition to China Spice and Amigo's Mexican Cantina, will offer customized Thanksgiving menus.

Austins Steakhouse at Texas Station offers pumpkin and butternut squash soup, a turkey dinner with traditional sides and homemade apple crisp or pumpkin pie. The cost is $33, and the restaurant opens at 3 p.m. Reservations are accepted.

The Broiler Steak & Seafood at Palace Station and Boulder Station offer a turkey dinner with all the traditional fixings and a salad bar. The cost is $19 at Palace Station and $19.99 at Boulder Station. Palace Station's location opens at noon and Boulder Station's opens at 1 p.m. Reservations are accepted.

China Spice at Green Valley Ranch starts its menu with a choice of crab and corn chowder or house salad as an appetizer. Entrees include roasted turkey with apple sausage stuffing or honey roasted ham, served with yams, green beans and cranberry sauce. For dessert, pumpkin, apple or pecan pie. The cost is $19.99, and the restaurant opens at 5 p.m. Reservations are not accepted.

Amigo's Mexican Cantina at Fiesta Henderson offers a classic turkey dinner with trimmings and a choice of pumpkin or apple pie. The cost is $9.99, and the restaurant opens at 2 p.m. Reservations are not accepted.

Oyster Bar at Sunset Station offers roasted turkey served with green beans, potatoes in a red eye gravy sauce and oyster stuffing. The cost is $20, and the restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are not accepted.

Oyster Bar at Palace Station offers turkey gumbo with spices, okra and Andouille sausage over white rice. The cost is $15.99. The menu will be offered from 11 a.m. Reservations are not accepted.

Tides Oyster Bar at Green Valley Ranch starts with a choice of soup or salad, honey-glazed Virginia ham with traditional sides and pumpkin tart with creme Anglaise. The cost is $24, and the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Reservations are not accepted.

Sonoma Cellar Steakhouse at Sunset Station, MRKT at Aliante Station and Charcoal Room at Santa Fe Station offer roasted turkey with homemade dressing, haricot verts, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes and cranberry sauce. The cost is $25. MRKT and Charcoal Room open at 3 p.m., and Sonoma Cellar opens at 4 p.m. Reservations are accepted.
