Las Vegas restaurants are regularly left out of foodie magazine lists and other opportunities for national recognition, but not this time. Bon Appétit's September issue features the 50 Best New Restaurant nominees as chosen by food editor Andrew Knowlton, and Kabuto makes the cut.

The tiny, signless sushi eatery on Spring Mountain Road was the only restaurant in Nevada to make the BA list: "No trip to Vegas is complete without a meal off the strip—whether that be In-N-Out, Lotus of Siam, or this teeny, super-minimalist 18-seat sushi restaurant." The blurb promotes Kabuto's ten-piece nigiri course and exotic fish like jack mackerel and deep-sea porgy.

On August 14, Knowlton will narrow down the list of 50 to the "Hot 10," including his pick for the top new restaurant in America. For the complete list, click here.
