Ruvo Center, 888 W. Bonneville Ave.

If your palate and your liver can take it, you’re going to want to extend your UNLVino tasting schedule by a couple more hours. This year, for the first time ever, celebrity chefs Scott Conant, Angelo Sosa and Gustav Mauler are coming together to throw a Sunday afternoon barbecue at the Lou Ruvo Center (that’s the funky Frank Gehry building by the discount mall Downtown).

Southern Wine & Spirits is working with local farmers like Hydro Greens and Two Lazy Sisters Farm to provide the freshest ingredients possible. The end result? Devil’s Gulch BBQ pork belly with hatch green chili rub, pomegranate molasses and celeriac slaw from Charlie Palmer Steak, scallops with scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, ancho barbecue sauce, smoked corn and cotija cheese from Todd English P.U.B., and hamachi jalapeño on yuba chip from Shibuya. And that's just to name a few—Diego, Fiamma, Mundo, Poppy Den, Scarpetta and D.O.C.G. will be there, too.

The food will be paired with cocktails by master mixologist Francesco Lafranconi. I’d say “come thirsty,” but let’s be real: Come for the hair of the dog. After champagne at Venetian, sake at Mirage and vino at Paris, you’re going to need it.
