Tender takes surf and turf to the next level in burger form

Image
The Surf, Turf and Air Wagyu Kobe Burger combines beef, crab and duck, plus truly decadent condiments.

Surf and turf is a common occurrence on steakhouse menus, but that’s amateur hour to chef KC Fazel. Anybody can combine land and sea, but visit Fazel’s Luxor steakhouse for an even better combination—the Surf, Turf and Air Wagyu Kobe Burger ($30).

Fazel combines American Wagyu with trim from other cuts for a juicy, unctuous burger patty. Gilding the lily, he tops the meat with a crab medallion and duck bacon while serving it alongside a trio of sauces: nori artichoke slaw, house-made ketchup and truffle-caviar aioli. Keep the ketchup for your fries, sample the slaw and slather up your potato brioche bun with the decadent aioli. (Seriously, did I mention it combines truffle and caviar?)

Too much of a good thing is never enough, but don’t take my word for it; this is a burger you must experience for yourself.
