Event Update: All Las Vegas Foodie Fest events for Friday, April 25, have been canceled due to extreme winds. The event is scheduled to continue as planned on Saturday, April 26, opening from noon until midnight.

Local event and promotions company Red Dragon has been building its flagship culinary happening, the food truck-centric Las Vegas Foodie Fest, for the past three years, and 2014 is when things get really interesting. Pepsi and MGM Resorts are onboard this year as the Foodie Fest moves from the Silverton to the spacious lot across from Luxor on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Over 40 food trucks will be dishing it up, from local faves like Fukuburger, Wa Da Pho and Sin City Dogs to tourist trucks like Tornado Potato, No Jodas Cuban Kitchen and Fist of Fusion. The longest line is for the White Castle slider station, which returns this year. Celeb trucks will feature famous foods and personalities from Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel, and probably some from MGM casino kitchens, too. Carnival rides, a beer garden, eating contests and a performance from Jabbawockeez round out the experience.

Las Vegas Foodie Fest April 24-27, $8 general admission, $50-$100 VIP. Lot across from Luxor, lasvegasfoodiefest.com.
