In recent years, the Venetian has added to its arsenal of celebrity chef restaurants while developing an array of unique culinary events that take advantage of on-property talent as well as the resort’s dramatic landscapes. The next step comes on the winter weekend of December 5-7, dubbed Ultimo.
This mini-festival goes beyond fine food and wine to include other luxury brand partnerships in its programming, including a caviar and champagne laden welcome reception showcasing Bellusso Jewelers timepieces and separate Saturday events focused on fashion and fast cars.
But over-the-top culinary experiences are the foundation for Ultimo, kicking off with the Grand Banquet. Last year’s inaugural version of this fancy feast featured chef Mario Batali and raised thousands of dollars for the Ruvo Center for Brain Health. This year’s banquet, set for 7 p.m. on December 5, will also take place in the Venetian’s Grand Colonnade at an incredibly long table set for nearly 200 guests in the beautiful lobby hall. Who's behind the menu? Superchefs Daniel Boulud and Emeril Lagasse, with desserts from Buddy Valastro.
Boulud also hosts brunch at his DB Brasserie the next day, while Valastro hosts a private “Baking with the Cake Boss” class at his Carlo’s Bakery. Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse is the site for the closer, the Truffle Farewell Brunch on December 7.
