One of the most prominent restaurant rumors of the last year was recently confirmed: New York City’s Beauty & Essex is coming to the Cosmopolitan to replace the former Comme Ça. Chef Chris Santos, also known as a judge on Food Network’s Chopped, will expand on his partnership with the Tao Group when B&E comes to Vegas from the Lower East Side next year.

Yardbird is kicking off its exciting new Midnight Guest Chef Series July 10 at midnight with an “East Meets West” theme as SushiSamba chef Bobby Silva drops by for a collaboration with Yardbird’s Todd Harrington. Expect an eight-course mashup of Southern and Asian foods with wine and sake pairings. Tickets are $100 and reservations can be made by calling 702-224-2062.

Food Network personality and chef Ben Vaughn is reportedly planning a Las Vegas restaurant, and he’ll get his feet wet with the “Southern Celebration” pop-up dinner July 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Eat. His multi-course dinner costs $50, and tickets can be purchased at sokitchenlv.com.

The Epicurean Charitable Foundation is partnering with Paris’ Hexx Kitchen, Bar & Chocolate for an ice cream social fundraising event on July 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. Nevada’s first “bean-to-bar” chocolate maker will donate 10 percent of all ice cream sales during that time to benefit ECF, a nonprofit organization that raises scholarship money for Clark County high school students seeking careers in hospitality and food and beverage. Eat ice cream, send a kid to school. Done.

The Silverton casino hotel has opened a new dining experience. WuHu Noodle is a 44-seat restaurant serving a menu of Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes for lunch and dinner created by executive room chef Chung Ping Yu and assistant executive chef Jason Ymson. Signature dishes include Singapore style noodles with shrimp and shredded pork, and dim sum specialties like shu mai with shrimp, pork and black mushrooms.

Hakkasan restaurants around the world are celebrating a new arrival to the Hakkasan Group restaurant family. Ling Ling, a new concept inspired by the shared plates-and-drinks deliciousness of the izakaya, made its debut July 1 in Mykonos, Greece. Our Hakkasan here in Las Vegas at MGM Grand is marking the overseas launch of Ling Ling by featuring a taste of its cuisine with a limited-edition menu and signature cocktail available through August 31 for $45. Offerings include crispy pumpkin salad with mountain yam, grilled seabass with Chinese honey, steamed chive dumplings, stir-fried scallop with XO sauce and more.

Buddy V’s at Venetian is now offering the Boss’ Express Lunch special, a three-course meal for $22 available through August 31. Choose your meal from a selection of antipasto, salad, pizzas, sandwiches, pasta and desserts—including the killer tiramisu.

SLS is offering new summer menu deals at Bazaar Meat, Katsuya and Cleo. Bazaar offers a ten-dish tasting dinner for $65 with an optional $25 wine pairing, Katsuya is serving up a three-course dinner for $39, and Cleo is cooking up three courses for $29.
