Late Nite Chef Fight is coming back for a second season on the FYI network, and you can be there. The cooking competition show inspired by Las Vegas’ own Back of the House Brawl chef battle will be back at the Palms filming new episodes June 9-12 and 14-17, starting at 7:30 p.m. and shooting all night. Production takes place at the parking lot at Nevso Drive and Thiriot Street, and those wishing to attend and be part of the crowd shots should park at the Palms and walk to the lot ... and be ready to root for your favorite local chefs.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the Founder’s Favorites Dinner on June 11 at 8 p.m. at the only Las Vegas location at Harrah’s on the Strip. From June 17-24, local favorite Big Dog’s Brewing Company takes over the taps at Flour & Barley at the Linq. Six craft beers will be matched with food from the brick oven-style pizzeria’s menu, such as grilled salmon with Red Hydrant Ale or carbonara pizza with Las Vegas Craft Lager. Local beer and pizza on a patio on the Strip? It’s a no-brainer.

Shibuya at MGM Grand is hosting Shibuya Street Tasting on June 18 at 9:30 p.m., an event focused on entertainment, food and sake sponsored by Southern Wine & Spirits. Japanese street-food selections will include salmon poke, beef yakisoba, chicken kushiyaki, kurobuta sausage buns and more. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling 702-891-3001.

One of our favorite annual food events is back at Bellagio on June 20 at noon. Executive chef Edmund Wong hosts the Beer & BBQ Epicurean Epicenter event on the resort’s Monet Patio, an interactive lunch where you can learn to grill like a pro, feast on crispy pork shank, frankfurters and hot links, and a dry-aged double-chop tomahawk steak with caramelized black pepper glaze, plus artisanal beer selections from master mixologist Ricardo Murcia. Tickets are $95 and can be purchased by calling 866-906-7171.

One of Las Vegas’ greatest destinations for Italian wines, Ferraro’s is hosting a Taste & Learn event on June 20 at 4 p.m., featuring guest presenter and wine specialist Mike Tadish showcasing five wines from different regions. The tastings will be accompanied, of course, by small bites prepared by executive chef Mimmo Ferraro, so get ready for delectable pairings such as grilled octopus and compressed watermelon with Gavi La Meirana by Broglia. Space is limited and tickets are $50, available by calling 702-364-5300.

Thomas Keller is coming to town to launch the new summer menu at Bouchon at Venetian. He’ll host a Champagne and canapés mingler on June 23 at 6 p.m., and then another reception event June 24 at 6 p.m. followed by a four-course dinner at 7 p.m. ($175). For event reservations, call 702-414-6200.
