A celebratory tree lighting ceremony, marking the 21st anniversary of Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest, will take place Friday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. Linda Smith, Chief Development Officer of Opportunity Village, will usher its milestone anniversary by highlighting this season’s new attractions and introducing master-of-ceremonies Mayor Pro Tem Stavros Anthony, who will proclaim the Magical Forest “North Pole Nevada.” Santa Claus joins the holiday celebration along with the famous Las Vegas Tenors, special performances by Lorena Peril, the star of Fantasy at Luxor, and other esteemed Las Vegas special guests. Mayor Pro Tem Anthony will also flip the inaugural switch illuminating the brilliantly lit forest, and announce the official start of the holiday season in Las Vegas.

This year, Opportunity Village will continue to provide special discounted nights. Monday nights (family nights) are perfect for the whole family, presenting a wonderful opportunity for a festive family get together. Families purchasing one adult admission at the gate will receive a complimentary child’s admission. Thrifty Thursdays feature a $2 discount admission with the donation of a bag of new or gently used clothing/household items. College students receive $2 off General Admission every Sunday night. Seniors, as well as men and women of the military, receive $2 off General Admission daily.

Other special evenings include the “Sheriff Lock-up Night” on Nov. 28, where Sheriff Doug Gillespie is “locked-up” to help raise additional funds.
