Cocktail of the Week: Cantaloupe Island

The slightly unconventional flavor combinations in this cocktail are what make it great. The taste of the melon vodka and cantaloupe reign supreme while the mint syrup draws out the citrus notes in the Aperol and highlights the tartness of the lemon juice.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. Grey Goose Le Melon Vodka

½ oz. Aperol Apéritif

1 oz. Lemon Juice

½ oz. Mint Syrup

1 tbsp. Cantaloupe Chunks

½ oz. Pasteurized Egg White (optional for texture and froth)

Fresh cantaloupe melon ball and micro basil for garnish

Method

Place the melon chunks in a cocktail shaker and muddle briskly. Add the rest of ingredients to the shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a seven-ounce martini glass. Garnish with a cantaloupe ball and micro basil.
