Cocktail of the Week: Spanish Inquisition

In just three ounces, this rich, nectar-like cocktail packs a flavorful punch — smooth and warm from the brandy, with notes of cinnamon and vanilla; herbal, minty and distinctive from the Fernet; and sweetly aromatic, with notes of honey from the Chartreuse. While it may fall under the digestif category, a drink like this can be enjoyed anytime.

Ingredients

2 oz. Torres 10 Gran Reserva Spanish brandy

1/2 oz Fernet Vittone Menta

1/2 oz Yellow Chartreuse

Dried fig for garnish

Method

Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain into a Nick and Nora cocktail glass and garnish with a dried fig.
