Before GM Brian Mongeon and manager Eric Smith’s co-creation the Panacea—meaning “The Elixir of Life”—Boa had another Alchemia Ginger cocktail on their list, and “it was good,” says Mongeon, “but not quite right.” Medieval alchemists searched their whole lives for an elixir of life … Turns out adding the St-Germain made all the difference!

Ingredients

2 orange segments

0.5 oz. simple syrup

1.25 oz. Alchemia Ginger Vodka

0.5 oz. St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

1 dash Fee Brothers Orange Bitters

1 oz. Lemon Sour

Method

In a mixing glass, muddle the fresh orange segments with the simple syrup. Add the remaining ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a flattened mint leaf, floating.
