Blip of a blooper

Image

KTNV Channel 13 got its 15 minutes of fame on YouTube this week with footage of reporter Steve Ryan’s live feed from the Fremont Street Experience being crashed by a drunken reveler. As a web curiosity, it’s certainly worth a look, but as a news blooper, it’s barely a blip.

Channel 13 Blooper - from YouTube.com

Ryan made the questionable decision to broadcast from an area where cheap liquor flows quite liberally. So it was hardly a surprise to see a large man with what looked to be an almost empty cup following him around as he tried to do his broadcast. After making a “cut” sign to the cameraman and slurring “Michael Jackson!” the idiot got shoved in the face by Ryan, after which the feed was, indeed, cut.

Comparing this to other YouTube bloopers, it contained: 1) no nudity, 2) no profanity and 3) no real violence. Snooze.
