Dream zone

I am in the lobby of a large, fancy hotel with my friends. I go to find the restroom, but there are no signs for any. I am getting really angry as I go looking for one. I go to the concierge and ask what kind of place this is if it doesn’t have restrooms. She just glares back at me. I go back to my friends and tell them, and they say, “Oh, the bathroom is right here behind that curtain!” I pull back the curtain, but have to climb up through a large window to get in, and we all laugh. –Anne, 51, Wausau, WI

Lauri: “Gotta go” dreams are a good indication you are “holding in” your frustration and negativity rather than “relieving yourself” of it. Notice how at the end of the dream you go to your friends and state your issue. This is when you finally find relief. That is the message of the dream. Pull back the curtain on your grievances.

Anne replies: There are a couple of serious issues in my marriage that I am very unhappy over. My husband will not discuss them with me and cuts off the conversation any time I try to deal with them, which is very frustrating. I am a naturally happy person and don’t like confrontation and anger. My friends all give me the same advice, which although I know that following it would change my life, I find it very difficult to do, which is probably why in the dream when the curtain is pulled back I still have to climb up through a window to get in. Thanks for your interpretation!
