I dreamed that I was watching a movie where a family of four who were working on a farm when the animals began chasing them. They fled for their lives. Suddenly I was in the movie with the family running away. A cat was setting traps for us but I was leading the family around them. A dog growled and when I turned to look at him he changed into a large cat and pounced on the cat and swallowed him. Lauri: Watching what is going on in your dream then suddenly finding yourself active in it is a good indication that you are accepting that what seemed surreal in your life is in fact reality. I have a feeling this dream is about a relationship struggle. Are you running from a relationship or are you being chased out of one, just as the family in the dream is being chased? The cat either represents the sexual side of this relationship or your need to be independent of it. In what way are you feeling trapped by the relationship? Do you feel the other person in the relationship is setting a trap for you? The dog represents loyalty. It turns into a cat and eats the other cat because this situation is consuming you! But then the dog vomits up the cat, which not only suggests that this relationship is unhealthy but that there is a good chance things will just go back to the way they were, never really changing.

Dana replies: Wow! I feel like you have just looked at my heart through a telescope. Yes, I have big relationship problems. My husband kicked me out of the house and has been either aggressive verbally or ignoring me completely. Today he said that he wants me to come back and work things out, but I’m really struggling with trusting him enough to go back. My independence and my sense of loyalty to the marriage are warring within me! This was extremely helpful!
